Sunset Hills Rorie's Kalala

"Kalala
"

This page of our Family Album is dedicated to Kalala, we hope you enjoy the pictures of her.  We had to ask the Sands Family how they came up with the name Kalala and thought it absolutely endearing and wanted to share.  As many of us who've experienced parenting we try and teach our children to speak and pronounce words.  And as many know some of those pronunciations are so cute and sweet and we try and write them down so that we don't forget.  In the Sands family their little one would try and say "Koala" but it would come out "Kalala".  So, like us all, to always remember that special time in our child's life they decided to name their beautiful puppy "Kalala". Congratulations to the Sands Family !

Hi Melinda                                                                                                       13-May-2005

Just a quick note to let you that Kalala is doing very well.  She slept through the first night, waking to go "wee" only once.  She cried most of the second night, however I took note of my "puppy" book, and took her to the toilet once, then left her.

Since then we have had no waking through the night, and NO mess in the morning!! (but boy is she busting when we get her out)  She was letting us know when she needed the toilet, (we only had a couple of accidents inside) I was so proud of her up until today....  Oh well back to the drawing board.

She is very clever, she knows to look for her ball when I say "where's your ball", as well as stopping when told "stop" for us to walk through the door before her.  She has just started to sit and wait when asked to, for her food, as well as "come"  (most of the time).

She is eating well, sleeping well, and learning well.  She walked on her leash (after a lot of training) for about 2 meters today!!! HOW IMPRESSIVE.

She has met a lot of people of all ages, sizes and race (including the postie).  The vet recommended we start puppy socialization school next Wednesday -(I'll let you know how it goes).

Any way take care
Sam (and Kalala)

Kalala 6 weeks old.
